Color Street Stylist: Launch to Success

You bought your kit.... now what is next?

First, think about how you are going to work your new business around your current life!  Unfortunately, we all have the same 24 hours in a day, so in order to find time to learn and implement new skills that will help to launch your business, think of some expendables in your life.  You know, the time you sit in the car waiting for practice to be over or school to get out when you mindlessly scroll Facebook or Instagram?  Or the radio time you normally have jamming to your favorite music in the car?

Think of those types of activities that you could replace with tasks that will help launch your business.  On the other hand, think of the time that is nonnegotiable...that you will need to keep dedicated to your family, friends day job, etc.  Plan ahead for when you want to work your business!

OK, so what do you do with that time you are carving out?

1. TRAIN

  • Be sure you join our team page, Team Nailing Your Dreams and check out the units.  It has a ton of helpful info on all kinds of topics.  The training in your Color Street stylist app is also helpful (and doing the training in the app will earn you points to cash in for polish!).  EVERY skill in this business can be learned.  If you are willing to put in the time, I promise you it will pay off.

  • Be sure to join The Official Color Street Page and our larger team page (ran by Debbie Bry) BeYOUtifully Polished, both are full of great info and training.

2. SHARE:

  • Get excited!  Make a post to  your social media page about trying something new or stepping outside of your comfort zone.  Tease them that something exciting is coming!

  • Announce publicly that you have launched your own business... again, share the excitement!

  • Let them know why you made this decision... earning extra money for the holidays, working to get out of debt, pushing yourself to try something new...etc.  Whatever your reason is for joining Color Street, let your friends and family know!

  • Start personally connecting with ladies on your FRANK list (friends, relatives, acquaintances/coworkers, neighbors, ladies you know though your kids)  Push yourself to reach out to 25 ladies before your kit arrives.  You can buy all of the supplies to mail out the samples so you are ready to go when they arrive!  You can send something like this:

    •  Hey Susie!

I have become obsessed with Color Street’s dry nail polish so much so that I have decided I’d make a little money on the side with it! I’m looking for friends and family to be a testers for me. I will send a sample for you to try out and all I ask in return is your honest opinion on how you like it! If you are game, shoot me your address and I’ll mail one to you! I think you will really love it!

3. SOCIAL MEDIA:

  • DOs

    • Keep your page positive!

    • You can add in Color Street, but be sure to sprinkle, not pour!

    • Use is to add value!

    • Post daily

    • Be yourself

    • Come up with 5 topics you can post about and rotate (Mine are friends, family, success with Color Street, food and fun/inspiration)

  • DON'Ts

    • Spam your friends and family with only Color Street posts

    • Post about politics or other hot button topics

    • Avoid using it... this arena can help your business reach people near and far!

    • Post graphics made by others, instead use real pictures

4.  VIP Group/Launch Party

  • Create a VIP Group on Facebook (there are specific directions for this in the training group.)

  • As you are reaching out and sharing samples, start inviting ladies to your VIP group.

  • This is the spot you can share nailfies, fun graphics, play games, offer specials, etc.

  • Host an online launch in that group using a party link you have set up for yourself through your Color Street virtual office.

  • I highly recommend holding an in-person launch.  Sharing samples and your excitement for your new biz is contagious and will help you to get sales, book parties and even grow your team!  My very first teammate came from my launch party!

  • Follow up is key.  Follow up with anyone you share a sample with and that orders from you.  If you need ideas, check out my Tips and Tricks page or check out the units in out team page to see what you could send as follow-up verbiage!

5. Plant Seeds

  • Show off your mani any chance you get... both in person and in pictures you are posting online.

  • Share your excitement and early success about your new business... if you are new, share the success of your upline or teammates.

  • Don't be afraid to share because you are new and do not have all of the answers...connect ladies who inquire about the business to your upline or upline leader.

  • Do not get discouraged... planting seeds takes time.  Sharing samples and building relationships through follow-up take time.  Keep working to connect with new potential customers/hostesses/teammates and it will pay off.

6. Book Parties

  • The bread and butter for our business is parties.  It allows you to get in someone else's network and expand your business.

  • Follow-up from sample sharing will help you to get parties and asking friends to host your first couple of nail bars will help you expand quickly.

  • Follow-up from orders will help you to get bookings as well.

  • Whether it is booking parties or growing your team, GO FOR NO!  I set personal goals for how many nos I am shooting for in a day a week or even a month.  I take a "No" as being one step closer to a YES!

7. Last, but certainly not least SET GOALS

  • No matter what your personal goals are for this business, I encourage you to come up with clear and measurable goals that you can reflect on... and share them with someone... your spouse, upline, best friend, anyone.  It is easier to hold your self accountable when others know what you are working towards.

  • Here is an example of what my original goal was when I bought my kit.

    • Earn $300 to pay my car payment:  To do this, I will hold a minimum of 4 parties in my first month to hit $1000 in sales.

    • I also challenged myself to become a student of the industry.  I had ZERO experience and knew if I wanted to be successful, I would have to work to learn new skills.  I would have to listen to Tuesday Trainings and go to Regional meetings... replace my murder mystery with personal development books, whatever it took.  I told my husband I would go all out in month one, see how I liked it and proceed accordingly.  July 2017 seems so long ago :)

HAVE FUN!!!!!!!! Getting paid to share beauty products that makes women (and men) feel more confident... could you ask for a better job?!?
