Tips and Tricks

Get the most out of your polish by watching the application video and following these simple steps!

  1. Be sure to join my VIP page, Amanda's Gals with Gorgeous Nails using the link above!  That way you can keep up on the latest styles and have some fun and get chances to win FREE polish!

  2. Before opening your strips, think how you will use them.

    • The leftovers will dry up. You can use both ends of most strips, depending on the size of your nail. You may be able to get a manicure or two and pedicure from one pack!

    • The tiny pieces left over from nails can fit on toes.

    • Some customers have had luck saving unused strips in the original plastic seal by sealing the plastic with a flat iron, curling iron or packing tape or place them in the freezer and take them out about 30 minutes before the second use.

    • Remember though, it is nail polish and it can dry out once opened!  That is why we only guarantee this product for one-time use.  If you get lucky and are able to use them a second time, its a bonus!

  3. When in doubt, choose a strip wider than your nail.

  4. When taking it off the skin, push down at edge of nail and pull away from the nail so you don't push into the polish on the nail.

  5. Once your nails are filed and prepped, always swipe with alcohol pad to remove oils and ALWAYS do your THUMBS LAST as you will use them as your tools to work the other polish strips in place.  You can also use a cuticle stick to help score polish.

  6. A quick-dry top coat is not necessary, however, it could help extend the length of your strip. I really think a top coat helps extends the length of the SOLIDS and ALWAYS use it for extra protection!

  7. After applying Color Street, allow 15-30 minutes to fully adhere to the nail. I feel solids take a little longer. They are all dry to the touch, however, be careful with the tips right after applying.

  8. It is best to store your strips and apply them at room temperature. Too warm makes extra sticky and too cold can cause them to be a little firm and not as pliable!

  9. Book your own nail bar to get some for free!  They are super easy and sooo rewarding!
